1. Examine your network then describe its diversity regarding sex, race, ethnicity, and age.
My network is composed of young men and women, mostly between the ages of 20 years to 25 years. I am a student. Therefore my system is consisting primarily of people of all races. However, whites are predominant in my network as compared to African Americans and Hispanics. Additionally, I know people that are from different ethnic communities, causing me to interact with different cultures daily.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
2. Based on what you have learned in the course so far, propose three (3) methods you can utilize to broaden or improve your existing network.
To improve my network, I would first listen and learn the traits displayed by the people in my network. This way, I would know how to relate to all the people in my network. I would also interact with people slightly older than 25 years of age as they are more knowledgeable, therefore helping me in achieving both my career and social goals. Thirdly, I would communicate with the people on my network to find out how we could overcome the cultural barriers that would, in turn, strengthen our relationships.
3. Based on the textbook and article, evaluate the significant impact of gender on mentoring relationships.
Gender plays a significant role in mentoring relationships. Having a mentor of the same gender ensures a better understanding of experiences, as both the mentor and mentee relate to the same gender-specific issues.
4. Give your opinion as to whether you would prefer a female or male mentor. Provide a rationale to justify your response.
I would prefer a female mentor because they are more caring and self-driven. Female mentors relate to several gender-based issues and would, therefore, help one overcome the challenges presented by each gender.
