If I were allowed to choose, I would have been born in the same family. I am born and raised in a traditional nuclear family. I have always lived with my parents and siblings. Various reasons influenced my choice. For example, a traditional family offers more stability and strength to the children. The committed parents provide a loving, caring, and supportive environment to the children. These children can nurture the same supportive relationships in the future since they learn how to interact with others at a young age. As children see their parents collaborate in solving problems, doing household tasks, and supporting one another, they are likely to engage in the same behaviors during adulthood. For instance, I have never seen my parents quarrel in our presence. This has taught me the need to avoid open confrontations and altercations that only worsen the situation. Through my parents' cooperation, I have learned the need for collaboration among family members.
For the working parents, a traditional family offers more financial stability and more opportunities to the children. This happens since most parents in such families can comfortably provide the basic needs, luxuries, opportunities, and a safe environment to grow. Most of the traditional families where the parents are working are above the poverty line. Children in traditional families have many opportunities, such as attending sports, dance, and music classes. When children are exposed to such opportunities at a tender age, they are likely to be socially and academically successful. For example, I love sports, and I usually play basketball in school tournaments. My father has encouraged me to seek opportunities in professional basketball teams if I have a passion for the sport. He is ready to pay any amount of money to see me succeed in life.

A traditional family offers a consistent way of taking care of the children. When two parents are present, children will grow knowing the specific roles that each parent plays in the family. The stability and consistency in nuclear families enable children to portray more positive behaviors, achieve academic success, and be more involved in community and extracurricular activities. For example, my mother is more involved in domestic chores in our family while my father pays the bills. Besides, my mother insists that we eat meals together, go to church together and have regular family vacations. Doing activities together has strengthened our relationships.
I also believe that traditional families encourage children to get an education. For example, since my parents are college graduates, they have always encouraged us to learn and have a college certificate. Besides, my parents are my models, and seeing them work and live comfortably inspires me to achieve my educational goals and get a well-paying job in the labor market.
Besides, I think that children from traditional families are more healthy than children from other families. The financial stability associated with most traditional families alleviates most illnesses related to poor physical, social, and emotional well-being. For example, my parents have always provided nutritious foods that prevent diseases. Besides, by living with my parents, I have never encountered any form of abuse. This has enhanced my emotional well-being. When I am sick, my parents take me to the hospital, where I have access to a range of good healthcare services. My parents have subscribed to a health insurance cover for the whole family.
Moreover, I believe that a traditional family has more chances for effective communication among family members. In nuclear families, communication has fewer obstacles and distractions. The current technological advancements such as smartphones and social media encourage family members to communicate even when outside the home environment.
