Evidence-based care improves my nursing experience. I am equipped with improved knowledge on how to assist their patients, thus ends ups achieving the primary goal of improving healthcare. EBP has made it possible to gain a sense of authority as they are in charge of making diagnosis and treatment decisions. The patients also benefit from evidence-based care due to the high quality of care they receive (Angus, Hodnett, & O'Brien Pallas, 2003). The healthcare system also benefits due to the reduced cost of operation, reduced medical mistakes, and a better experience for the patients. The nurses are able to conduct research on their own, thus establishing the best strategies to apply.

Implementing evidence-based practices is faced with various barriers. Lack of time to read literature is the largest hindrance since most nurses are not willing to analyze the existing literature and determine the best evidence to apply in a particular health problem. Most nurses are not equipped with computer skills. When conducting research, these skills are required, and since they are lacking, the nurses are unable to get the evidence they need. Lack of enough resources to install internet and computer equipment in a health problem. The cost is higher since the staff members have to be trained so that they can learn how to carry out effective research.

The barriers can be removed in different ways. The first one is training the nurses about evidence-based care so that they can gain a positive attitude towards it. The training program will involve how literature can be analyzed without taking too much time (Angus, Hodnett, & O'Brien Pallas, 2003). The nurses will also get educated about English efficiency to enable them to carry out adequate research. The health institutions can encourage the providers to use their smartphones to conduct the study and get evidence when they are in practice.
