Suggest two policies that you think employers could institute that would best promote work-life balance among their employees. Be sure to explain why you think these policies would help
Work-life balance is a strategy constituted by organizations to allow employees to acquire flexibility in their working patterns to achieve a balance between what they do at work and the responsibilities they have outside employment. One of the initiatives that employers can deploy include, offering flexible working arrangements in the form of part-time, casual working, shifts, and working from home (Koch, 1998). Another strategy is placing strict maximum hours of working to encourage employees not to continue working after the required working hours. The two initiatives can enhance the creation of a flexible workforce, and minimize the stress that workers experience due to long working hours.

Would all employees benefit from these policies or just certain types of employees?
Initiating a flexible working arrangement and putting strict maximum hours benefits all employees in the organization. When the organization is flexible, tasks can be organized in terms of shifts and part times to ensure employees have enough time for themselves and their families (Royal, 2013). Putting strict hours of work also enables all workers to adhere to the predefined tasks, and therefore reduces depression that may come due to strain from the prolonged working hours.
Once these policies are instituted in the workplace, what roles does workplace culture play in whether or not employees take advantage of them?
Organizational culture encompasses shared values, attitudes, behavior, and assumptions held by individuals in the place of work. Since culture shapes how workers relate in the organization, a healthy workplace culture would then encourage employees to stay loyal towards the policies instituted. Organizational culture will allow employees to take advantage of the policies since they promote healthy relationships in an organization.
What effects would these policies promoting work-life balance have on workplace productivity?
The strategies are initiated mainly to promote a good health life of workers. Employees who have a flexible arraignment of work are highly motivated and do not have much work-related stress (Clark, 1992). As a result, their level of output is high in the organization. Additionally, workers who observe stated hours of work have the right concentration and are effective in their performance (Shapiro, 2014). This effect result in increased interpersonal relationships between employees and employers.
