Henry Ford is remembered as one of the greatest and the earliest contributors to the automobile industry. The efforts of Henry Ford to improve the automobile industry is evident in his masterpiece models that are named after him. The inspiration of Henry Ford in his immeasurable contribution to the automobile manufacturing industry was rooted in his perception regarding the future of automobiles and machines. The motivation and believes of Ford in his endeavor can be understood through considering his writing about "techno-feudalism." 

Meaning of Techno-Feudalism as Discussed by Henry Ford 

Ford's passion for automobiles was anchored on his strong belief in the future of automobiles and machines in general. Through his writing about "techno-feudalism", ford strives to give the relevance of using an automobile to humanity (Ford, 2015). The writing about "techno-feudalism" was an expression of how much the world needed automobiles. Ford used the term "techno-feudalism" in his response to Walter Reuther after Walter asks Ford the essence of focusing so much on an automobile. The conversation came after Ford had launched his Ford Model T in 1914.

The term "techno-feudalism" was used by Ford to express to his friend Walter how much automobile meant to the future generations. Through his writing, Ford insists that in future generations, automobile and machinery will be the main source of income for many people. To understand the term "techno-feudalism" as used by Ford consider the early British society (Ford, 2015). In early British society, the socio-economical strata were structured by the amount of land that one had. Land was considered the most relevant and trusted source of wealth. That is exactly feudalism. Therefore, Ford's use of the term "techno-feudalism" meant that automobiles would be the reliable source and measure of fortune. The term "techno-feudalism" was coiled by Ford to depict the relevance of automation to the work.
