Peer Review on Utilitarianism
I agree with Fieser (2015) who describes Utilitarianism as “an action is morally right if the consequences of that action are more favorable than unfavorable to everyone.” Utilitarianism is said to be one of the best moral standard which gives “greatest happiness for the greatest number according to Macat, (2015).” Reasons why I support Fieser’s definition is because of the characteristics. One of the characteristics of Utilitarianism is that it helps people to determine which moral action is good or bad. The text by Fieser states that “when determining the morality of any given action, we should list all of the good and bad consequences that would result, determine which side is weightier, and judge the action to be right if the good outweighs the bad” according to Feiser, (2015). Another characteristic of utilitarianism is that the applicants focus on the outcome before they decide if an action needs to be taken or not.
Peer Review on Virtue ethics
Similarly, it’s true that Virtue ethics is the “Virtue ethics is an approach to moral and ethical questions that focuses on a person’s character” (Mosser, 2014). This theory highlights character over actions which are different from the utilitarianism. This is the belief that good mental habits produce moral behavior. I support the definition because is being temperance, which is the middle of overindulgence and rejection of all pleasures-it’s a happy medium where one is able to enjoy many pleasures in reasonable quantities.

Utilitarianism in Starbucks
Deontology was developed by Immanuel Kant as “Deontology focuses on the duties and obligations one has in carrying out actions rather than on the consequences of those actions” (Mosser, 2014). I agree because deontology has got several characteristics. This theory is that it follows the golden rule which states to treat other the way you want to be treated. At Starbucks there was one ethical problem that caused the crisis at the industry. The crisis began when most of the farmers were being kicked out the coffee bussiness because of overproduction. Starbucks would try to resolve using utilitarianism, assessing the actions consequences and weighing the good vs. the bad. (Tabberer, 2010).
The notion of good moral used in utilitarianism was effectively used. The characteristics were effective since Starbucks and their action need to be of benefit to all stakeholders, their practices should serves the company well, the families as well as the environment around (BilBoroughsRS, 2011 )
