The Customer Electronics Show (CES) is an annual trade show for the consumer of electronics and technology. The exhibition is held in Las Vegas, Nevada at the beginning of every year. This year, the trade show showcased more than 3, 200 innovations from around the world. It presented new mind-blowing and seemingly impossible inventions to the market. This paper discusses two of the most outstanding innovations exhibited in this year’s event.
Audi Fit Driver
A fascinating innovation was the “Audi Fit Driver.” The “Audi Fit Driver” is an invention that helps drivers to manage their health correctly. This project was invented by Audi AG, an automobile company in Germany (AUDI AG, 2016). A driver wears a smartwatch that continuously monitors their heart rate and skin temperature. Vehicle sensors that are fitted on the car top up this data on such parameters with vital information such as the driver’s breathing rate, and driving style and also present relative information on external conditions like weather and traffic.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
The Audi Fit Driver can deduce the state of the driver and control the vehicle systems to react and counter the state if it does not provide a favorable driving condition. This reduces the driver’s stress and boosts concentration as they drive. It also advises on rest breaks for a driver after running a check on the traffic flow allowing drivers to avoid long hours in traffic (AUDI AG, 2016).
In the future, Audi highlighted of another phase of development where the project will bring on driver assistance and safety systems. This project can be of great essence to long-distance drivers who spend hours on the road, especially long-distance truck drivers. Most of these drivers are victims of fatigue and stress. Therefore, the implementation of the Audi Fit Driver would curb such shortfalls and offer a great driving experience. The image below is a representation of the Audi Fit Driver working system.
2017 Bolt EV
The “2017 Bolt EV” is a small hatchback electric car that will be processed as a 2017 model. It was invented by Chevrolet, an American automobile division of General Motors (GM). This fully electric car offers more than 200 miles per charge. It is made of lightweight aluminum and is shaped to defy the wind. It is characterized by more room and advanced technology setup. It is also enclosed and has a flat underbody which streamlines airflow and leads to improved aerodynamics (Chevrolet, 2016).
This car will present a whole new experience in driving upon its release at the end of 2016. Drivers will be no longer need to stop at gas stations to refill their cars. This will be a great plus to most drivers who are subject to the increased fuel prices lately. Again drivers will be let to be to customize and control their cars in it presents information about its battery levels and energy consumption. Below is an image of the 2017 EV Bolt.
