Leucine-rich products and other dairy products have been suggested for improving the muscle mass and prevention of aging; this is according to the research results posted by an article on Nutrition health aging. According to the author’s report, research was conducted in a community with a majority of the members suffering from polymyalgia rheumatic; the participants were sampled from an old age group of averagely 69.5 years. The patients had to perform a number of stand-ups daily, and later, they had to consume leucine-rich milk. X-ray absorptiometry method was used to take the quantity of the body composition. Additionally, the chair stand test, and walking speed, was used to measure the functionality of the muscles. The results show that the lower limb muscle mass of the victims was increased by 1.8% while the walking speed was increased by 5.4%. Also, the patients showed a positive improvement in chair stand test performance with a 12.3 % increment. Moreover, there was a 3.0% increased for the jump power, and further results indicated that the product supplements prevented the accumulation of body fat (MP1, TK, RA, R, & RS., 2011) .
Various Studies have shown that leucine ingestion decreases proteolysis and accelerates the synthesis of proteins. As a result, it favors the balancing of nitrogen. However, a few studies have found a 46 % reduction in the fat content, an improved protein status and increase in protein synthesis as a result of leucine consumption. Other studies claim that leucine-rich milk products can boost the functionality of the digestive system. A digestive system that functions well have been linked to Anti-aging processes, and therefore dairy products can be good supplements in preventing the process of aging. A Research conducted on the importance of proper digestions proposes that when the gut is sluggish, the body fails to absorb enough nutrients and as a result, the bones, muscles, skin nails and hair are compromised. Acidification has also been shown to alter the digestive track in humans and hence prevents proper digestion which in turn accelerates the aging process. Leucine-rich milk can help to curb the impacts of acidification in the stomach by acting as a neutralizing factor; this product contains calcium and magnesium which functions in neutralizing excessive acids and in preventing osteoporosis (Adechian, et al., 2012) .

Similarly, leucine -rich milk is thought to reduce fat content in the body; this fat content has been claimed by many researchers to accelerate aging process. Further Claims indicates that milk product is an ideal substance for anti-aging because the product supports both the immune and the inflammatory system. Furthermore, intake of milk product has been shown to play a vital role in regulating the aging influences by improving the bone mass, controlling the blood sugar level, and maintaining the lean body mass. The fact that researchers propose that leucine-rich milk doesn’t have saturated fats makes it ideal products for consumption and a perfect addition to an anti-aging diet. Women at their menopausal stage are also advice to take milk products rich in leucine because they are at higher risk of obesity, mood swings, depression and osteoporosis which are all core leading factors to fast aging.
According to research conducted by the National Dairy Council, Leucine-rich milk has got nine essential nutrients that are beneficial to the health of every individual and especially amongst the old generation. As envisioned earlier, the leucine content found in the milk is rich in calcium, this ion functions by building healthy bones and teeth amongst the aging population. The products of milk contain a protein which serves as a source of energy, the intake of this protein energizes a person and furthermore, it repairs the muscle tissues. Another essential nutrient in milk is potassium, it maintains the health blood pressure, and in the process, it prolongs the lifespan of an individual. Phosphorus is another beneficial nutrients which help to generate energy and to strengthen the bones together with Vitamin D supplements. Studies show that Vitamin B 12 is one of an essential nutrient in the human body which has been suggested to maintain nerve tissue and red blood cells in the body, also Vitamin A nourishes the skin and helps to maintain normal vision and immune system as well. Other supplementary components that have got extended good benefits are Riboflavin (B2) and Niacin. Riboflavin facilitates the conversion of food into energy while the later fosters metabolism of fatty acids and sugars.
The National Dairy Council recommends that only 8-ounce glass of milk is good enough to provide an equal amount of vitamins, calcium, potassium and phosphorus that could have been provided by cooked almond, broccoli, banana and kidney beans. Dr. Roy, a professor at Brock University, posted a published research that shows how intake of milk has an influence on weight loss. According to the Doctor, overweight persons have an accelerating rate of the aging process. Dr. Roy says in his observation regarding recent studies that, when young adults consume milk after a strenuous activity they tend to burn a lot of calories, and as a result, they lose body fat. In addition to his observation, Roy noticed that these individuals showed a significant gained in muscle mass as compared to those who had consumed different drinks containing the same nutrient components (Capretto, 2010) . D.R Roy Concluded in his observation that, it is quite important if people can continually add more milk in their diet as this will add total intake of energy into the body. Roy added that it is possible to replace other sources of energy and deviate from excessive consumption of calories which fosters the rate of aging by taking leucine-rich milk.
An article on Nutrition by Diana et al., (2012) presented a research study on how long-term supplementation of leucine reduces the gain of fat mass in an aging rat without changing the body protein status. According to the author, Sarcopenia, osteopenia, and an increase of body fat content are some of the factors associated with aging. In this research, rats of 6 months of age were taken and divided into three groups. The first adult group received euthanization when they were exactly six months old; the second leucine group received a 4% diet of leucine supplementation for 40 weeks. Finally, the third control group received a control diet for 40 weeks after which the evaluation of the following parameters was undertaken: the composition of chemical carcasses, the weight of the body, food intake and indicators of the acquired chronic disease as well as the status of the protein nutrition.
The results of the experiments showed that the rats who received leucine supplementation for 40 weeks had a reduced fat content and a decrease in body weight. The control group on the hand had no significant change in the body weight. There was a greater carcass weight in the leucine and control group compared to the adult group after a duration of 40 weeks. Similarly, there was an alteration of the glycemic and lipid content in the control and leucine group as a result of aging (Daiana, et al., 2012) .There was no alteration of the protein status associated with the aging resulting from leucine consumption. Conclusively, leucine supplements have the potential to attenuate body fat gain and hence reduces the aging process of an animal. Further results did not indicate any sign of increases in lean mass that is associated with aging amongst the supplemented animals.
Other diseases are associated with aging like cancer, diabetes coronary heart illness and polymyalgia rheumatic and milk rich in leucine has been claimed to prevent such diseases. Professor Peter of Cardiff University conducted research on milk and diseases and found out that leucine-rich milk can reduce the chances of death from diseases such as stroke and coronary heart diseases. Even though there are conflicting claims about milk being a contributor to diseases especially the heart disease because of cholesterol, Elwood says the contrary is true, and that milk helps to lower the blood pressure in the body. Also, Elwood mention in his report that analysis on long-term research reiterates on how consumption of leucine-rich dairy products plays a significant role in reducing the rate of death caused by colon cancer, strokes, heart diseases and type 2 diabetes commonly affecting the old generation. Elwood concluded in his study that, the envisioned diseases are the major contributors of health care expenditures and consumption of leucine products can be an appropriate measure that is bound to reduce these diseases (Capretto, 2010) .
