My prior knowledge of the course topic is centered on the importance of proper leadership to a team, an entity, or a country. I know that leadership determines how the team, entity, or country performs when compared to other teams, entities, or countries (Manning, 2012) . They cannot succeed without proper leadership. I am interested in the topic since I aspire to be a leader in an organization. The course concepts, for instance, skill development in leadership, will guide me in improving my leadership capabilities and skills (DuBrin, 2015). The course will improve my leadership capacity and, in effect, assist me in my career path towards being a manager in an organization. A manager requires strong leadership skills to inspire the employees in achieving the entity's goals.
The leadership traits that I possess based on the leadership self-assessment activity results include dependability, teamwork, and innovation. I am dependable since people can count on me for suggestions and ideas. I am a team player since I value team glory rather than personal glory. I am an innovator since I tend to generate ideas at the workplace. The leadership readiness results show that I am ready for a leadership role, and I agree with such results.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
From my experience, an area of strength is participating in teams in various settings. I am a team player since I tend to share my ideas and suggestions with other team members. I also tend to appreciate the efforts of my team members. One area in which I need to gain experience is persuasion. I am poor at convincing others, and, in effect, my arguments tend to be ignored.
I plan to gain this professional skill and experience by being genuine and practicing using positive body language, for instance, eye contact.
