What organization did you select?
I selected the American Cancer Center for its renowned engagement in international healthcare charitable acts to transform the less fortunate’s lives in society. Besides, the American Cancer Center has globally accepted principles that reflect authentic leadership principles, such as self-awareness, self-regulation, knowledge management, and cultural competence ( Baron, 2014) . Moreover, the American Cancer Center has a track record of impactful volunteer deeds globally with a similar leadership structure for all worship centers affiliated to the organization throughout the world.
With whom are you meeting?
I will meet the American Cancer Center’s current chief executive officer in the United States, Pat Basu. I intend to ask the leader how he manages a global organization with millions of members while sustaining the charity organization’s positive brand image. Additionally, I plan to meet the commander to determine how the American Cancer Center has supported its authenticity to date, without being affected by factors, such as corruption, fraud, power abuse, and illegal corporation bailouts. Therefore, I will meet the Salvation Army’s commander, who will educate me on the charitable organization’s leadership elements that have propelled its success this far.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
What questions will you ask?
I intend to ask Pat Basu questions, such as:
What do you feel are the primary factors that contribute to the organization’s success?
What leadership model has the American Cancer Center adapted since its inception?
How has the American Cancer Center faced its challenges in the past?
How does the organization integrate servant, transformational, and ethical leadership? ( Besen, 2017).
What are the successes of the American Cancer Center this far?
How has the American Cancer Center leadership handled the Corona Virus 2019 pandemic and its impact on its followers?
What are the five things the American Cancer Center aims to achieve in the next ten years?
What does volunteering entail?
Volunteering is the willing provision of resources or human labor for philanthropic purposes. Volunteers do not ask for compensation for services rendered. Instead, a volunteer’s satisfaction should result from the positive societal outcomes that result from their actions ( Wong, 2013) . Volunteering also entails offering unpaid services to help individuals from low socio-economic backgrounds, homeless persons, and the disabled who cannot afford quality healthcare, orphans, or the neglected environment.
What date and time is the meeting scheduled?
I will meet the American Cancer Center’s chief executive officer on February 17 th , 2021, at 3:00 p.m.
Explain how it is tied to your leadership purpose
Today's leadership environment is highly dynamic, with leaders handling diverse subjects of different religions, races, ethnicities, and traditional variant practices. The American Cancer Center serve more than half of the United States’ cancer cases, which requires strong leadership principles to sustain its operation-ability in a competitive, self-seeking management context. To date, the American Cancer Center has maintained its goal: to provide charitable cancer care assistance to the less fortunate while observing quality patient care delivery and aiming for positive convalescent health outcomes. The organization's successful operation above can only result from positive leadership practices, where executives are emotionally sincere, are not selfish, do not engage in corruption, and can self-regulate their conduct in private and public ( Covelli, 2017) . The purpose of my meeting is to determine how the American Cancer Center has integrated authentic leadership to ensure it remains a competitive organization, even when challenged by factors, such as the Corona Virus 2019 pandemic. Additionally, the meeting will help me identify how the Salvation Army's leaders practice knowledge sharing for positive outcomes within and outside the organization. Finally, I will learn how leaders remain authentic while providing volunteering services, which depend on donations to stay sustainable.
