The research approach I use ensures that I get the necessary information for my research topics. The first step is selecting the most current issue in accounting that will enable me generate an interesting topic. Working on topics that can receive attention from the public is encouraging because makes it easier to get the reference materials and hence discuss the topic in detail. In addition, I would prefer consulting the textbooks we use in class and the internet during my research topic selection. Class textbooks will provide an insight of what my professor and my course requires from me while the internet especially the library databases will enable me understand more on the topic. Having a better understanding of the topic and choosing the best sources makes the whole research process easy and interesting (Head, 2007).
Having the right knowledge on current issues is what each professional is interested in. it makes one stay up to date with current affairs. Research is basic in identifying these current issues and reading more about them. In addition, knowing about the current issues will help in identifying the gaps that exist and the gaps will trigger more research because they need to be filled.
