Accounting is one of the leading jobs with a broad scope of career opportunities in the modern world. Accounting as a field at large allows individuals to select a specific area in which they will develop interest and specialize. For instance, in the recent past, I conducted research on advanced degree relating to business development management. I encountered a lot of useful information on this area that will help me out in the future. My main aim of the research was not to learn more about business development management. Still, instead, the primary purpose was to gain a vast knowledge of accounting and its related courses. At the end of the research, I set myself objectives that I should meet. This included careers that are highly marketable in accounting apart from my research career of interest and also to be able to adjust and make changes on my career choice if the research calls me for it.
However, from the research, I encountered several appealing opportunities. This included working as a credit analysis manager. In nearly all businesses today, every firm, at some point, faces the crisis of unpaid debts from customers. When this arises, a Credit Analysis Manager will be required to come in so that he/she ensures that the firm's debts are settled. In this case, he/she should come up with legal actions for collecting debts, negotiate with debtors how the payments should be made, and also should be able to initiate strategies that will aim at tracking criminal accounts. Based on wage terms, this field pays an average salary of about $59880 (ACCOUNTING DEGREE REVIEW, 2020) . Also, there is a personal financial advisor. The main objective of this job is ensuring that your clients understand their financial positions and evaluate options that they can take to ensure they achieve their financial goals. In this case, once you are making money, you will always need someone who understands better what to do with funds so that they may help you manage it. Financial advisors play a significant role in society as they assist people in managing their finance; thus, this may result in the promotion of the economy, whether by investment in farming or even marketing based on the financial advisor's opinion. In this case, a financial advisor has the role of recommending investment strategies and also monitoring a client's investment progress. As a financial advisor, you can either work as a sole advisor or rather work as a financial advisor in an organization. However, a sole advisor is cheap to gain, as it only requires a bachelor's degree. However, this degree will enable you to sit for Certified Financial Planner that will boost your trust in the eyes of clients. Besides, this is a good-paying job as its salary is $58760 roughly. This job has many opportunities as it is not flooded with many professionals. Moreover, there is treasury analysis. A person who works in this field is referred to as a treasury analyst. He/she is responsible for the management and analysis of employees’ financial activities. They can be employed by government bodies, NGOs, or even businesses. They are among the persons who play a vital role in ensuring the success and stability of a business. The demand of financial managers, which comprises of treasury analysts, is set to increase by 7% when it comes to 2024. Roles of a treasury analyst include execution of daily management cash, preparing of treasury reports, advising financial operators on the flow of money, and also documentation and updating of treasury policies and processes. However, skills required are being proficient in accounting, being logical, having virtues in project management, and also the ability to take care of a situation responsibly. Its qualification requirement is a bachelor's degree, and its average salary is $55700.

From this research, I have been enlightened much on the scope of how the accounting field will be in the next five to ten years. However, I have learned that accounting is not all about completing your degree and staying idle to wait for employment. One should always try to look for ways to make himself fit in a specific position. Also, accountants are using increasingly world-widely and top equipment in their daily work experiences (Islam, 2017) . This technological advancement is slowly replacing traditional ways of accountancy. As a result, what this implies is that as the world changes day by day, one should always be technologically updated and be able to use any digital device in a specified accounting field. This is meant to increase the chances of one securing employment in any sector, for instance, working as an IT specialist in accounting. Therefore, all accountants need to think outside the box and go for other courses that they feel might be necessary. Also, there have been critics who have insisted that accounting education has failed to meet the demands of the evolving environment in business (Awayiga, Onumah, & Tsamenyi, 2010) . As a result, this calls for an individual to make his/her efforts in acquiring other skills to fit into the society ’s job market.
Conclusively, this information is going to have a significant influence on my studies and future career. For instance, in terms of education, it will have a considerable impact whereby I will need to diversify my studies and look for other options in IT classes, for example. This is meant to enable me to fit in the diversifying accounting field, which is changing technologically. Also, I will have to evaluate other options in accounting so that I not only specialize in business development management but also in at least the other two accounting courses. With this, my future career will be brightened, and thus I will have a lot of options to choose my career from. With this, I believe that I will not have problems securing a job opportunity in the job market. Therefore, this research is going to be of very significant positive impact on my future career.
