Violence among human beings is unavoidable mostly to conflicts arising from differences in opinions, perspectives, and outlooks. In essence, every human being is inclined to violent tendencies, which are usually out of control. However, there are claims that violent tendencies may vary from one gender to another or from one race to another. Some races mostly Blacks are considered more violent as compared to others going by the statistics in the mainstream media. This, however, does not mean that individuals from other races are a domicile. One could wonder why Blacks are more violent but then rethink their political, social, cultural, and geographical setups. Perhaps these conditions stir in Blacks innate violence, which is used as a channel to vent out what they feel, are injustices meted upon them by the other races. An analysis into this proposition aims at establishing the levels and types of violence exhibited by the Blacks and other races as well as the reasons behind it.

Violence, which varies in degree and type among the Blacks, is considered a part of their everyday lives. Some of the violence that exists among the Black include domestic violence, homicides, and general crime. Statistics reveal an increase in violent acts perpetrated by Blacks. According to Cella and Neuhauser (2016), there has been an increase in homicides, which is a result of increased street violence in Baltimore and Chicago, which houses black communities. More so, over 81 percent of these homicides are committed by the Blacks who are considered violent. However, this is not to say that only the Blacks commit the soaring homicides. Cella and Neuhauser (2016), put the Blacks on the receiving end as they are also victims of homicide cases. in fact in 2014 8.6 percent of black victims were killed by whites. These statistics go on to prove that both races play a major role in perpetrating violent acts.

Domestic violence, which constitutes a huge part of violence, is more prevalent among Black couples as compared to other races. According to Latzer (2018), black couples are more likely to get involved in cases of domestic violence as compared to whites. In fact, Latzer establishes that the blacks are two to three times more likely to experience couple violence, which is attributed to alcohol. Nonetheless, it is not easy to determine the real statistics regarding cope violence among the blacks due to its sensitive nature. However, of all the domestic violence cases reported, the Blacks perpetrate well over 20 percent of domestic violence cases. Nonetheless, this is not to say that other races are immune to gender violence. Hispanics who follow in the second place, report up to 20 percent, Whites follow in the third place while Asians report the lowest domestic violence rates.

The American correctional and rehabilitation facilities exist to help this nation deal with violent individuals and help them become. However, the inmates in these services reveal a major ethnic disproportionality. In essence, the majority of inmates are black youth and males who make up to 40 percent though they only account for only 13 percent of the US population (Rowell-Kunsolo El-Bassell & Hart, 2016). Sadly, there are claims of misinformed mass incarceration, which is stereotypical. The case is worse in Wisconsin where half of all black males in Milwaukee County were incarcerated. In fact, the blacks’ incarceration rate in this state is ten times higher which is considered unjustifiable, as all the races are prone to crime and violence (Pawasarat and Quinn, 2014). More so it is evident that the disproportional incarceration rates unjustified as the perpetrators committed non-violent offense creating a stereotypical scenario. In fact, this goes ahead to reveal a regrettable trend of assuming that Blacks are more violent which may not be the case.

There are many factors, which contribute to violence across various races in the United States. The elements usually vary from one race to another depending on cultural, social, economic and political standing. Perhaps one of the leading causes of increased violence is poverty. The minority races in the US are the poorest communities with Blacks topping the charts. According to Latzer (2018), more than 26 percent of all blacks live below the poverty line while compared to 10 percent of Whites who live below poverty line. The accelerated poverty rates among the Blacks forces these individuals to seek for alternatives to survive. More so, there are rising unemployment rates among the blacks due to increased illiteracy among this population as they can not afford to enroll their children in schools. In essence, then the government has attributed to increased violence among the blacks by denying them their civil rights. If the government were to accord the blacks decent services, then they would not get involved in violent crimes. Furthermore, if the whites suffered the same fate, it is correct to assume that they would also engage in violent crimes to survive, as violence is innate in individuals.

In conclusion, violence being a part of human existence is an innate concept meaning that every individual in spite of his or her race can be violent. However, the Blacks are considered more violent which is due to their economic, social, political, and cultural orientation. In essence, Blacks across the world are exposed to a myriad of challenges key among them being poverty. As such, they are forced to find alternative means to survive their hostile environment. As a result, they get involved in criminal activities, which put them in the line of being incarcerated. In spite of these challenges, it is clear that stereotypes play a significant role in branding blacks as being more violent as compared to other races. In fact, Blacks have increasingly become a target for violence by the whites over the years. In this case then, one can say that violence is innate and not determined by one's racial background and affiliation.
