Statistical analysis is the process of collecting data, which can be analyzed and summarized to uncover trends. The procedure is necessary to ascertain customer preference for bottles and can containers before making the decision to abandon can containers based on a marketing report. To explore customer preferences with regard to can containers and bottled, I would collect data on customer likes and dislikes concerning the packaging of the energy drinks. The methods of data collection that I will use for this investigation will be semi-structured questionnaires and mobile phone surveys. I will use the approach of drop and pick for the questionnaires, and emails for the phone surveys. The drop and pick approach help to reduce nonresponse bias by allowing respondents more time to fill in the questions ( Chu, & Ke, 2017) .
For the situation under investigation, the questionnaires will be availed to store retailers who will randomly distribute them to consumers. The consumers will be informed of a later date when the filled questionnaires should be returned. On the other hand, the data from mobile phone surveys will be collected upon customer submission of feedback through email. The questions on reference of bottle packaging over can containers will be direct (yes or no questions) accompanied by Likert scales to measure the level of liking or dislike for can containers. Therefore, the level of data measurement to be applied will be nominal for the yes/no questions and ordinal for the Likert scale. These levels measurement will be appropriate since the data to be collected will be categorical_ with no definite intervals nor a true zero point ( Mishra et al., 2028) . This kind of data qualitative since it is descriptive and can only be categorized by conceptual words and not numbers.
