In her book, Jennifer Mcmanus Warnell discusses the need to equip the young and upcoming leaders with principles of ethical leadership. Warnell explains that there are several ethical challenges that millennials are likely to face at work, and they need to be equipped with the right skills to help them handle such issues. The author predicted that by the year 2020, almost half of the American workforce would be made up of Millenials, and it is currently the reality. In the current business world, where integrity and transparency are critical ethical considerations, and effective leadership cannot be separated. By engaging the young generation on ethical leadership and management strategies for high performance will be realized.
In looking at the ethical issues that can affect the Millenials as well as their managers, there is a need to realize that there are two categories of people; those who are not keen on societal needs and instead pursue personal desires and those who want to help their society by fighting woes. Some of the ways through which those who value society's needs try to achieve are humanitarian actions as well as social projects. In this regard, the only way through the community can benefit through strict observance of ethical leadership, which is a crucial factor in economic progress. For success and growth, the young leaders should be intentional about creating personal as well as social wealth through ways such as the development of peaceful societies that have sufficient resources and embracing technologies that can help in the achievement of crucial health needs. The young leaders who could are either students or new in the industry should not only be taught about ethical principles but should also be directed on how, where, and when to apply them.

Ethical and social responsibility is critical when marketing in a global marketing environment. When an organization is ethically correct, then growth in a dynamic business world will be experienced. For ethical principles to be achieved, there should be leaders who embrace and guide their juniors into doing the right things. Ethically principled leaders will not only make an organization thrive but will also help their juniors grow their careers towards the right paths. In a global marketing environment, the ethical principle is essential because it helps in building trust and cooperation for a successful business. Ethical leadership will not only help in attracting business opportunities but will also help in growing an ethically responsible leadership through the millennials. Social responsibility is also critical because it helps an organization focus on the needs of a society in which it operates the business.
In looking at the case study in appendix D (A), Ben was in a situation that needed ethical principles to be applied. Still, on the contrary, the manager was supposed to guide him into adherence to the policies not. He was committed to doing the right thing and even realized the issue, but he could not execute any ethical principles because his seniors were not for the idea. It is a challenge that several young people are facing because, as much as they want to be ethically right, their leaders or managers do not comply. Warnell explains that millennials are the most proactive and dedicated individuals, and as such, they should be helped to grow to be ethically responsible leaders. The author states, "They intend and expect to work for organizations whose missions align with their values of social engagement, sustainability, and other ethical considerations" (Warnell, 2015. p3). It is an indication that the young generations have the right intentions, which are in line with ethical considerations. One thing, however, is that the managers who supervise and guide them are not as much dedication as the young and talented generation. Today's world requires an actionable talent for ethical decisions to be made and good leadership practices to be embraced.
Ben is supposed to raise the issue of tax compliance because it is one of the ethical issues that any employee or leader should adhere to. The government requires that all organizations be transparent in tax remittances. Unfortunately, in the case of the non- profit organization that he is working for, as well as their donors are not ethically correct, a concern that bothers Ben. He should raise the matter to her manager and explain to her the importance of adherence. Additionally, ethical leadership requires that everything in an organization is done formally, and this is also another concern that Ben needs to raise. It is indicated in the case study that activities are not done officially a thing that the young employee things it should take a different trajectory as a way of embracing ethical values. The executive director is overwhelmed and stressed with work while he or she is supposed to delegate, but because of understaffing, they cannot.
The employee should raise the concern immediately but urging the leaders in the organization to embrace ethical values for the long term benefit of the organization. It is illegal not to be tax compliance, and the organization might be closed down or fined is the authorities discover such an issue. Ben is a young professional who is keen on ethical principles emanating from leaders to junior employees. As Warnell explains, Millenials should be educated and managed in a particular way that will bridge the gap between intention and action.
