Throughout this course, I have learned that leadership, particularly in healthcare, is characterized by several reforms and changes that aim at facilitating safe and quality care. I have also learned some of the leadership skills in healthcare, such as compassion, that helps healthcare leaders to develop effective teams and motivate their staff ( Wong, 2013). Moreover, I have learned more about authentic leadership that revolves around personal ethical traits infiltrated through positively leading others ( Besen, 2017). I have learned that authentic leadership is developed by being aware of values, emotions, strengths, and weaknesses.
There are two important items I would like to share with colleagues about healthcare leadership. First, I will present them with journal articles that talk about personal life experiences in healthcare leadership. I believe these journals will motivate and help them get significant concepts and skills in leadership. Second, I will also share some of my purchased books with my fellow students and tell them to identify which ones are more productive in understanding different healthcare leadership concepts.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
Video presentations are significant in understanding theories and concepts of healthcare leadership as presented in books. Videos create engaging experience compared to print materials alone. Videos help students see and hear the concepts taught and become more interested in learning information presented in books. Additionally, videos increase knowledge retention as they can be reviewed later after initial lessons are taught. Besides videos, PowerPoint presentations can be used to help students understand the concepts in books. PowerPoint presentations promote interactive learning and also help in development of in –depth knowledge by presenting information better.
