Conscious leaders normally have the heart to serve and find great fulfillment and beauty in their work and in having the opportunity to lead, serve and aid in the shaping of a better future for all people equally. Because they are living their calling, most conscious leaders are authentic in what they do and have an inner drive and passion that is second to none. They work incredibly hard, are dedicated, and get much of their energy from what they do instead of the job draining them. Collectively, such leaders have emotional, spiritual, analytical and systems intelligence, which makes them conduct their business efficiently with little to no effort. In essence, such leaders are exemplary and continue to inspire generation upon generations in the past, present and even future.

Hillary Clinton is one such outstanding conscious leader. Her career in politics has been one of the most exemplary fetes achieved, and she continues to outshine many political figures in her mannerisms, leadership tenure and a host of other accomplishments. Moreover, considering she is a woman in a largely perceived “man’s field”, one could most certainly say, she is a force to reckon with. Born in 1947, she commenced pursuing politics after completing her degree at the prestigious Yale School of Law, which indicates that she is an intelligent woman and one who comprehends things quickly (“Hillary Clinton,” 2017). Her political career started while she was the First Lady of America whereby she took on the mantle of becoming a primary advocate on all matters that related to the reformation of the health care sector. The year 2000 saw Hillary Clinton make history in the nation when she was elected as the first lady to ever be in the United States Senate (U.S Government Incorporation, 2012). Hillary was the New York senator from 2001 – 2009 having won her senatorial reelection bid in 2006 by a landslide. She became Secretary of State, and in her tenure, she galvanized the nation and emerged as a great strategist while the homeland went through tough times during the Arab revolutions. These shows her conscious spirit even in the face of overwhelming challenges.

All through her time in the political arena, she has displayed tremendous character and all the traits embodied in the qualities of a conscious leader. Up to now, people still love and adore her and not only that, they try to emulate her character and persona in their lives. As stated above, her intelligence is among the top ranking in politics. She has displayed immense emotional intelligence as she perceives deeply and understands keenly the issues that affect the nation and works towards rectifying them. Her emotional intelligence appears in an emotional speech he delivered after her defeat in the 2016 presidential race imploring Americans to keep believing in their nation. She is a servant leader who can love deeply and work in integrity. Such servant leadership was displayed in her tenure as First Lady when she fought for healthcare reform all over the country. In fact, she was the pivotal advocator of reforms when no one else saw the need to change the health systems. She also worked with adopted children and ensured a revamp of their environment through aid money and legislative changes, a real testament to her integrity, urge to make positive change and the will to make the right moral choice (Chan, 2016)

In conclusion, Hillary Clinton is an actual embodiment of the virtues of conscious leadership and one who is social, loving, hardworking and above all full of integral ethics. Her accomplishments continue to reverberate throughout the political corridors. Overall, she exemplifies the collective spirit and as such works towards the achievement of common goals and ideals of a conscious leader.
