The question is appropriate to the study because it digs out the factors that have caused the change in oil importation throughout the Indian Ocean for the past decade. The research question also delves into some of the potential impacts that the change in the oil importation throughout the Indian Ocean raised to the parties involved.

I used the entire research question to look for articles regarding the study on Google Scholar. At first, about 32000 results came up in 0.84 seconds. I then filtered the articles to obtain those published on the site not earlier than 2015. About 17600 search results came up in 0.42 seconds. I had problems related to coming up with the most relevant articles for my research question. I went to the other pages of the results to obtain the most relevant articles relating to oil importation throughout the Indian Ocean within the last ten years.

Dasgupta (2018) observes that the Indian Ocean is one of the busiest primary and commercial energy supply lines globally. Disruption of the water body could cause havoc that costs countries significant amounts of money to fix. India's geographical location has changed oil transportation, and the country has benefitted from the maritime trade. Therefore, Dasgupta (2018) discusses energy security as an issue that has changed the oil transportation across the Indian Ocean. The author, therefore, handles the research question appropriately by focusing on the role of India in the change of transportation within the past ten years.

Wojczewski (2016) contributes to the topic of change in oil transportation across the Indian Ocean by discussing the rise of China as a strategic location to pivot the Indian Ocean oil transportation. The Indian foreign policy is concerned with the rise of China as a strategic Indian Ocean oil transportation destination. However, the author notes that India has no control over the strategy that China has on the trade. That creates an increase in the concern of the dominance of oil transportation within the Indian Ocean. Wojczewski (2016) attempts to answer the question by evaluating china's strategic role in oil transportation across the Indian Ocean.

Dasgupta (2018) presents work in a clear and detailed manner, which serves to increase the knowledge of the reader regarding the changes in oil transportation across the Indian Ocean for the past decade. Arnab Dasgupta works as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Chandernagore College, West Bengal, India. Her vast knowledge in the field of political science enables her to delve into the issue of oil transportation and its changes across the Indian Ocean.

Wojczewski, T. (2016) provides a detailed explanation of how India views China as a threat, with the latter increasingly becoming strategic to the Indian Ocean's oil transportation. The article has a consistent format that aims at delivering the information required. Thorsten Wojczewski is a lecturer at the German Institute of Global and Area Studies, at the University of Kiel in Hamburg. Wojczewski, therefore, has a credible approach to the issue of maritime politics due to his vast knowledge of global and area studies.

There is still more to the changes in oil transportation across the Indian Ocean for the last decade. The new questions that arose regarding the research were the changes observed in the other countries where the Indian Ocean touches. It will be wise to research the changes that have taken place in over ten years rather than within the past decade.
