The Week 10 total value of the investment is $24,885.68 whereby Walmart, Home Depot and Microsoft Corp each had $9,941.74, 4,928.44, and 10,015.5 respectively. Thus, based on this total value of investment I lost money. The total investment had a deficit of $114.32 ($25,000-$24,885.68). Each of the three stocks changed with a negative figure from Week 8 analysis. In essence, Walmart, Home Depot, and Microsoft Corp changed with $-98.78, $-152.26, and $-9.04 respectively.
Given that this analysis has provided me with a highlight of the individual stock total value, I would consider reducing the number of shares of the most variable stock (Walmart) and increase investment in Microsoft Corp which is less volatile. With this Week 10 stock analysis, I have noted that the stocks of large companies are more volatile compared to small companies as described by the total investment value of Walmart and Microsoft Corp. Further, the stock with the highest stock price (Home Depot), has the worst dollar value change over time. Thus, in future investment, I will not consider the price stock as the determinant of feasibility of an investment.
