Question 1

I possess a vast amount of academic and professional experience in the fundamentals of accounting. My previous job experiences as a professional accountant have allowed me to apply my knowledge, skills, and expertise to practice. That being so, in my work line, I have encountered and handled various cases involving fraud. An example includes a position at Rich Tax Services L.L.C., where one of my job duty and responsibilities involved detecting and tracing fraud schemes and related practices. To fulfill the duty, I routinely analyzed the financial records of the institutions.

A notable large-scale and highly complex scheme I detected involved $3.9 million. It was a serious problem that involved a complex investigation of both internal and external financial records. Essentially, after reviewing the basic financial statements and raising suspicions, I was forced to take further steps. I proceeded to conduct a detailed internal investigation, which involved conducting a more thorough analysis of all financial records. Having done so, I proceeded to investigate external stakeholders who directly and indirectly transacted with the organization.

The capacity to deliver excellent results in the process was because of an immense level of training in fraud detection and prevention. Following comprehensive internal and eternal investigations extended beyond the analysis of financial records to interviewing primary subjects, I had to publish a report accompanied by evidence of illicit transactions. The product I presented routinely was a detailed financial report which assisted in further decisions of the organization on the matter.

Question Two

Despite having reputable work experience, so far, my work experience has not involved assisting or supporting the external investigation. However, given my knowledge, experience, and expertise, I am confident that I can effectively handle such and similar circumstances. For instance, I can handle different types of investigations involving tax fraud, schemes, financial misrepresentations, and the likes. Having a strong background in matters involving taxes and internal audits, I believe I am better suited for positions that fall along these lines.

The expertise I can offer is numerous. One, I can conduct an independent investigation to facilitate an external financial investigation. The task will involve complying with my professional duties and provisions of the existing regulatory body. That being so, I would investigate suspected fraud, misconduct, and other irregularities where necessary. Second, I can also offer professional advice and opinion to assist investigations. For example, in cases of professional negligence involving some individuals, a professional opinion will be required to maintain a standard of care. Third, offer the necessary documents and resources necessary to enhance the process.

Question 3

The growth of technology has made all aspects of life simpler. Its numerous benefits extend to accounting and financial management. That being so, numerous software in the market are designed to perform different tasks, including analyzing bank records, creating pivot tables, and i2charts. Some of them, including AutoRec Software, has a simple process of analyzing bank records. With this tool, a financial analyst imports all the bank credit cards and online transaction statements to the software. The software is designed to verify and reconcile data to produce more understandable reports automatically.

On creating a pivot table, the first step involves acquiring and installing the pivot table app. Having done that, open the app; select dimensions items to be analyzed, such as data elements. The net step involves clicking “Layout" and arranging the data elements in columns, rows, or filters. Having done that, click "update.” Similarly, I have also used software to prepare i2 charts in my previous positions. The process is similar to creating pivot tables. Using such software makes work efficient and, ultimately, more effective.
