How improved transportation systems can have social and political significance, giving an example in today’s world
Improved transport systems sustain lifestyles and economic activities that avail goods and services for consumption in society. Again, advanced transportation has changed our way of living and how society is organized; hence, improved civilizations. Therefore, this document details how improved transportation in modern society has positively impacted the social setup and shaped political structures within the context of human interactions.

Improved transport networks promote the formation and development of urban societies. Typically, the advancement influences how human societies form, increase in population and their pattern of distribution worldwide. For example, it contributes to the formation of settlements in today’s world as evidenced in New York City, Mumbai, and Moscow. In the trio, man lives in river banks, around major river junctions, and at the intersection of trade routes. Additionally, improved transport systems dictate how people travel to and from work. Therefore, it is overtly true that advanced transport reduces the time and cost of transportation; hence, resulting in diverse spatial patterns (Rodrigue, 2017). Other than settlement patterns and size, improved transport facilitates the growth of urban centers. For example, transportation technology currently improves the development of American cities, especially when the urban center grows beyond normal walking distances.
Similarly, improved transportation plays two major political roles: administration in an area and political choices. For instance, a region’s administration sends and receives information to/or from the people although per the existing laws and security issues. Therefore, global administration currently relies on improved transportation to ensure effective communication of relevant information to all citizens across the world. However, this importance of improved transportation infrastructure is slightly undermined following the advent of communications technology. Finally, improved transportation makes it easier to make choices regarding military movement, communication, how people travel, and movement of freight within the interests of the government (Rodrigue, 2017). Therefore, this implies that the advancement in transportation technology facilitates the transfer of messages and information efficiently across governments.
