Factors that influence the application of Stare Decisis by Supreme Court are integral in evaluating court decisions based on judicial precedents. The work has adequately outlined the meaning of the term Stare Decisis, giving the basis of its application within the legal context. In the exercise, it was important to elaborate on why Stare Decisis form a core concept in legal studies, especially with relation to court decision-making the process. The examination of the exercise case, Advocate Health Care Network v. Stapleton (S. Ct. No. 16-74, June 5, 2017) fails to meet brief case considerations. While there is a deliberate effort in outlining the key aspects of the case that include the facts, parties, and determination, the effort fails to capture key areas such as court reasoning and holding. The two are important in understanding and further evaluating any court decision. The exercise ought to have tied the case with the reasoning of the courts to provide substance on why it is important to consider the decision either null or admissible.

The exercise has appropriately outlined the jurisdiction of sitting courts, making it clear the authority of the Federal District Courts in determining this case. Acknowledging authority helps in proving admissibility of judgment, making relevant its decision within the legal jurisprudence. Further, the exercise response has comprehensively determined roles of key parties in the case, including the company, and the complainants through their lawyers. Acknowledging parties in case briefing helps assign responsibility and determine among the parties whose burden it is to prove infringement of liberties. In this instance, the parties involved have been assigned roles with the company workers lawyers having the burden to prove an infringement of liberty while engaged in a contractual agreement with the company. The overall assessment of the response outlines that it meets the threshold in assigning the responsibility of involved parties, discusses case facts, but fails to tie the opinion to the initial court judgment as a ground of dispute.
