Letting go is a vital skill that allows leaders to create space for others to lead. Leaders should let go of fears and let their teams to occupy leadership positions. Leaders can adopt various strategies as a way of letting go and enabling others to lead.

The first thing that leaders should do is to make a choice and a firm decision to actually let go. Being decisive about letting go creates a pathway for a leader to accommodate others to lead. Also, a leader should identify and address the obstacles or challenges that seem to hinder the decision of letting go ( Bush et al., 2019) . Learning the art of delegation would enable a leader to let go and enable others to lead. Mastering the art of delegation entails passing tasks to junior staff and letting them to decide how the activities should be completed. Art of delegation allows employees to gain confidence along the way.

The distinction between leadership and management is important for organizations since it allows firms to distinguish between the roles of a leader and those of a manager. The distinction is critical in understanding the art of leadership and that of management ( Thorpe, 2016) . Organizations are able to know when to apply leadership skills and when to use management skills or when to utilize both in various circumstances.

In my organization, leaders undergo periodic on the job and off the job trainings to enable them know how to distinguish between leadership and management. They learn roles and responsibilities associated with each function. To promote this within the organization, I would organize seminars and workshops where subordinate employees and management team undergo rigorous training. The training would be vital in exposing the team to leadership and management roles ( Coutu et al., 2009) . The exposure would also play a key role in enabling leaders learn how to let go and enable others to lead.
