Yes, Amazon has been my preferred site when purchasing products. I often subscribe to Amazon prime services and buy groceries via Amazon fresh. I have experienced exemplary services from Amazon. Their products are fresh, hygienic, and delivered on time. I trust Amazon due to its exquisite prime services. Therefore, I wish to continue being Amazon’s loyal customer.

Amazon has a ferocious corporate culture, subjecting blue-collar workers to pressure and conformity. However, this aspect does not deter me from purchasing their products since I have built trust and loyalty with the company. Nonetheless, the management should revise how it treats its employees. It is unethical for Amazon to subject employees to poor working conditions. Amazon’s CEO Jeff Bezos should be at the frontline to improve workers’ welfare, provide hope, and allow them opportunities to develop their skills. All things constant, Amazon is my number one online retailer, and I will continue to purchase its products and services.

I would not want to work with Amazon. The case study sheds light on the inhumane treatment workers experience. It indicates the deplorable working conditions and the pressure subject to employees to conform. I would not love to work at Amazon because it does not consider employee welfare a top priority. Besides, I feel nervous working under pressure. Therefore, I cannot entirely agree with Amazon’s management based on the poor employee treatments.

Amazon can achieve success if it changes its culture to be less driven and combative. Amazon can adopt coaching and democratic leadership styles. Bezos uses a combination of autocratic and authoritative leadership. This puts employees under ultimate pressure to conform and seek perfection, installing fear in them. The democratic and coaching leadership styles will improve employee engagement, facilitate innovation and foster a positive work environment.

The ethical danger signs at Amazon include pressurizing employees and negative treatment during hiring activities. A certain threshold of pressure is vital to improve performance in the workplace. Extreme pressure is unethical since it creates tension and fear in the workplace, hindering performance. Negative treatment of employees during recruitment is unethical. Using negative statements towards recruits undermines the ethical standards in the workplace. Thus, Amazon’s management should improve its engagement and interaction with staff members to promote a healthy work environment.
