I take this opportunity to describe my mid-term and long-term visions for my post-MSc Programme in the Finance career path. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business administration which has given me the privilege of understanding the importance of finance in the business world. Moreover, having served at the sales department in an FX FinTech for one year has given me experience in handling finance where I majorly engaged in cold calling, analysis and related tasks. I have a deep interest in finance which makes academic considerations towards this end my priority.
Obtaining an MSc in Finance will provide the turning point I need to achieve my mid-term and long-term goals. In the short term, I intend to join the graduate program in the global market division of a major Investment Bank in the UK. Although I had tried this option earlier, the interviews proved unfruitful. Serving in the banking sector has always been one of my goals and the master’s programme will open this door. My mission in this capacity will be to enhance my skills in handling finance in readiness for bigger role. I will then rise through the ranks to the position of a managing director or the vice president in the organization. This position will enable me to lead the sales team in the corporation through my expertise to realize higher profits. From this point, I have the goal of starting and building a company to offer financial services. I will ensure that my company improves financial services through emphasis on transparency. In giving back to the society, I will start scholarships programs for students at all levels of study. My choice of this school is due to my conviction that the prestigious faculty in this institution guarantees excellence. Furthermore, the multicultural student body and its international status avails diversity that is needed in the corporate world.
