2. Basically, according to the analysis of these dataset, one sample t test is the most appropriate method for the analysis. This is because the investigator has only one sample and would like to compare the sample’s mean with a known population mean.

According to the findings of the one sample t test, it indicates that the test scores from the students in the sample are significantly different from the students in the general population, t (9) = 17.267, p< 0.05. Therefore, the test scores for the students in this sample are not equivalent to the population mean. In other words, the t value is statistically significant as indicated by the p = 0.000, which is less than α = 0.05 set for this study. The t result means there is a significant difference between the tests scores among the students in this group and those in the general population.

4. The SPSS output is attached as shown.

5. Useful of this information

Normally, studies involving a one sample t test are useful when it comes to the determination of whether a sample mean is statistically different from a known or hypothesized means of the population, ( Machin, Campbell, Tan, & Tan, 2018) . In this type of test, the investigator considered the comparison of the test variable against a test value which is already known, or hypothesized value of the population mean. Therefore, in this study, a one sample t -test was conducted to examine group differences in the dependent variables in this study.
