Every organization needs policies to govern the institution and workers on codes and ethics. Health care professions likewise have written policies that address issues of medical ethics. The policies are therefore important in that they protect the institution on legal matters by having standard protocols in writing. Uniformity is also achieved by the policies whereby the health care practitioners are bound by the protocols and ethics on services rendered to the patients by doing the right things for the right reasons. Ethical standards are constantly changing so as to encompass different and varied circumstances. An example of this can be seen by looking at euthanasia. According to Case (2010), euthanasia poses ethical dilemmas for some communities or groups. Christians believe and follow the bible which believes that the intentional killing of someone is wrong. The fact that people have different views about it is likely to result in the constant revision of ethical standards associated with euthanasia.

Having senior employees as mentors to new employees has many advantages for the employees and the organization. According to the University of the people (n.d), one benefit of mentoring programs is that it aids in leadership development. The employees that mentor are mostly senior and have leadership roles, having the role of mentor improves their sense of purpose in the organization. It is also beneficial to mentees, as they are given adequate attention and guidance. Another reason is that costs are greatly reduced. Training new employees is usually costly and can be avoided by having in-house mentoring programs. A month is adequate enough to consider someone a new employee and mentors should remain so until they feel confident that the new hire is capable of performing tasks without any guidance.
