Introduction
Video sharing sites like YouTube have become a very important medium for advertisers. YouTube announces that it now has 1.5 billion active users (Matney, 2017). The time Internet users spend on YouTube increases dramatically (Ligato, 2015). Interpublic, one of the largest advertising agencies in the U.S. has moved its $250 million TV ad spending to YouTube (Vranica, 2016). Even though advertising on YouTube sounds like a great idea, there are still many unknowns about this new platform to advertisers. A smartphone manufacturing company from South America wants to have a further understanding about YouTube before investing in YouTube advertisements. The purpose of this assignment is to determine whether YouTube advertising for Real Call is a viable option for the launch of the South American-based company looking to launch its product at the end of the year. Analysis of data from ten of YouTube’s biggest channels will enable this report reach suitable conclusions on the viability of this method of advertising.

Data Analysis
Considering the provided data, the report sought to determine the most popular items of viewing among YouTube viewers. In this case, it was determined that Pie Die 30 channel was the most viewed channel, with a bit over 14.2 billion views on a daily average. This provides the best platform for advertising as it reaches the largest customer base for the company’s new product. Furthermore, with such a wide advertising market, it would be worth much more than advertising on local television.

Furthermore, the performance of three channels, Yuyya, Pie Die 30 and Vegetta were considered so as to determine the patterns in which viewers watched videos on these channels. The results for these channels were filtered to include days in which the performance was above average. Thereafter, a count of the days was taken to determine trends. In particular, the results were to show the frequency in which customers would watch more videos. For all three channels, Tuesday was seen to be the only day lagging behind, as all other days had at least two entries for above-average performance. As a result, it could be said that viewers were less likely to visit their favorite channels on Tuesdays.
Lastly, this report finds that Real Call should put up its advertisement on Pie Die 30, as this is a channel engaging a very wide customer base. The company would have the largest access to customer bases across the world, thereby boosting sales on its online platforms, as well as the launching country, the United States.
