My article is on the survey about how financially secure Americans feel. It is from the Newsweek of 5 th February 2019 and can be found at http://www.journalgazette.net/business/20190205/poll-60-ok-with-finances
Data: the AP-NORC survey of 1,062 adults found that 60% of Americans are OK with their finances.
So n=1,062, and p-hat (point estimation of population proportions) is 0.6.
This means that q-hat= 1-0.6= 0.4
For a 95% CI, the critical value is 1.96
So E = 1.96 x sqrt[(0.6)(0.4)]/(1,062) = 1.96 x 0.015 = 0.0294
This means that a 95% CI, for the true population proportion would be (0.6-0.0294) <p<(0.6+0.0294), or (0.5706, 0.6294)
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
