Given that the OFAAT approach entails studying one factor while holding others constant, one of its characteristics is repeating the procedure until all the factors are exhausted. Given the simplicity of the process, it is favorable to non-experts who might not be highly knowledgeable in advanced statistics. However, it is disadvantageous because it cannot be used to estimate interactions and requires multiple runs for high precision. On the other hand, DOE is advantageous because it requires fewer resources and is more accurate. Its major setback is, however, its complexity because of the significant reliance on statistics( Ranga et al., 2014). To achieve an effective business process, I would use DOE because I prefer a highly accurate method. Since DOE is based on statistics, the error margin is low compared to OFAAT; hence, it would be the best.

The project that I could incorporate the use of the confidence interval level is the measurement of undergraduate student’s anxiety levels during exams. Since it would be expensive to administer an anxiety survey to all students, a sample of 55 undergraduate students could be selected to represent the entire population. From the data, a confidence interval would be constructed. One of the biggest challenges in using this approach is selecting a representative sample(Hulley et al., 2007). This is mainly because the population is huge. To ensure bias is reduced, a representative sample should be chosen randomly from the entire population.
