The Cook v. Coldwell Banker presents the issue of whether a unilateral contract can be enforceable. The rule involved in the case was the unilateral contract being enforced, considering that the plaintiff made substantial changes before the attempt to revoke by the defendant. The analysis describes the bonus program made by the defendant in 1991, starting with a commission of five hundred dollars for $1500 (Missouri Court of Appeals, 1998). However, the plaintiff left work after earning an excess of 32,400 dollars in commission. The case concluded by the defendant’s failure to revoke the high commission as the plaintiff had already performed well.

The issue in IZADI v. MACHADO (GUS) FORD, INC. Case is whether the plaintiff makes a claim against the defendant on a breach of contract. The rules indicate the possibility of the plaintiff being able to make a claim, and evidence provided will be used by the court to make the ruling. The IZADI v. MACHADO (GUS) FORD, INC. Case analysis describes a deal where the plaintiff tried to buy a car from the defendant for $3595. A previous advertisement had talked about $3000 allowance, which the defendant later refuses, an indication of contract breach (District Court of Appeal of Florida, 1989). The case concluded by the defendant being considered to have breached a contract due to making an advertisement, which leads the plaintiff intentionally.

Unilateral contracts are made by single individuals as seen in the case Cook v. Coldwell Banker; an individual can make a promise or deal which attracts people (POOLE, Devenney, & Shaw-Mellors, 2019). It is common in business or advertising world (Perović & Jovanović, 2018). A person who has lost a dog, for example, makes a contract by giving a $ 100 reward to the person who will find the dog. Bilateral agreements require two or more people to make a contract as seen in IZADI v. MACHADO (GUS) FORD, INC. Case (Minarosa, 2018). An agreement between employer and employees on compulsory monetary rewards after attaining a certain amount of sales.
