Business sustainability is as a procedure by which companies can manage their financial, social and environmental hazards, responsibilities and prospects. However, this approach does not capture the time element since it more accounting based. A more robust definition of business sustainability embodies resilience over time, a business which can endure fluctuations in the market because it has an active link to healthy economic, social and environmental systems. 

Business sustainability necessitates companies to adhere to the ideologies of development. Conferring to the World council for Economic Development(WCED), maintainable business development is the growth that meets the needs of the present economic conditions without actually compromising the ability of the coming generations to satisfy their requirements. Since its inception, the company has laid down strategies on how to establish a business that promotes health and sustainability. The vision on health and sustainability is to minimize the pervasive presence of poisonous chemicals in the natural environment (air, soils, oceans, etcetera), human-made environments (homes, schools, offices), and personal environment (industrial pollution). Guard the natural resources by lessening waste and take full advantage of re-use, support peace, security and social justice and encourage variety and productivity all through the facets of life. 

The design of the products reflects the love of plants and all living things. The design of its products is in a way that it maximizes the use of plants and focuses on means of reducing the presence of petroleum in the manufactured products and packaging. In the future, the company attempt to be 100% plant-based and sustainably-sourced within borders or internationally. 

With that goal of achieving 100% plant-based design products Hone aim to source natural, organic, sustainably harvested, renewable, pure raw materials for its products, track all materials, ingredients, and packaging used in the products to help the company report on and comprehend trends in its cradle-to-grave impact. Minimize the toxic levels in all products and packaging, commit to eradicating petroleum-based plastic in its packaging, use post-consumer resin in our bottles, stipulate and thoroughly monitor the quality-control standards and protocols in manufacture to guarantee highest levels of quality, cleanliness and the general product and ingredient integrity. 

The concept of sustainability is not only about the product or how the product is wrapped it also includes the design of the product, the staff working environment, waste management, energy usage and much more. To enjoy success in every phase of business sustainability, Hone ensures all electricity used in all its headquarters and warehousing facilities is from 100% renewable sources of energy reducing overdependency on conventional fossil fuel energy sources. 

Hone’s business efforts are to minimize carbon footprint by the manner in which the company run its business and procuring the required carbon offsets for operating its daily business operations, manufacturing, and product shipping. Consequently, the company employs electronic and fully automated management systems to reduce paper, printing and copying usage and supplies intensely. Additionally, operating warehousing amenities that use ordinary daylight, energy efficient lighting, electric forklifts and full reusing programs for all corrugated delivery boxes. 

In Hone’s operations, the company seeks allies who stand by its supplier's code of conduct that addresses three main areas: human rights, environment, and documentation. In support of its business, Hone acknowledges its associates: PETA: Cruelty-Free & Vegan, Carbon Fund, Renewable Energy Credits, B Corps Certification, and Green America Certified Business – GOLD.
