Feminism has become an integral part of today’s society since women all around the world are becoming conscious of their rights and freedom and that they are equal with men. It is also important to appreciate that many women, even with the support of some men and their governments are coming out to openly support feminism and equality within the contemporary societies around the world. However, we still need to advocate for feminism since the society has continued to believe that the worth of a woman is determined by her appearance instead of her capabilities. This, in turn, leads to some of the government organs making decisions for women without their representation and voice in the same bodies. This should warrant the continuity of feminism now and in the future until all governments recognize the role of women in governance.

The brand of feminism that I would advocate for is socialist feminism since it focuses on equal economic and political opportunities. This is because it is aimed at ending the notion that men should get more opportunities than women since they are the major players in the capitalist kinds of economies. This changes and freedoms will allow women speak for themselves and articulate their issues since they are better positioned to understand the issues that affect them. Race is one of the most fascinating facets of feminism since some most anti-feminist people and governments which undermine democracy. In Iran, for example, feminists are an integral part of the society since they speak for the people and they are always advocating for change and freedoms for women since they know how it feels to be oppressed due to once race or gender especially when they are in the diaspora.

In a bid to ensure that we have a just society and a society that is generous, there should be equal opportunities for all regardless of race, gender, ethnicity or political affiliation. This should start from the education opportunities offered, to healthcare and to the political representation all through the government institutions. This way, the society will be all inclusive and there will be equality around the globe.
