The criticism accorded to the ideology of empowerment is baseless and inconsistent. In my opinion the fact that everybody in an organization or a nation should be liable to the challenges experienced. Empowering the younger professionals or rather the most commonly stereotyped group in an organization such as women and the disabled is inevitable and needs to be accorded the requite attention. Empowering people could be in the form of offering financial assistance or rather the provision of requisite training for the junior employees in a bid to cope up with the increased level of innovation and the dynamics of the economy (Deininger, Jin, Nagarajan & Xia, 2019). Hence, the reasoning that empowerment would leave no one accountable for results is a reprehensible opinion that discourages the culture of adopting a growth mindset.

As a leader, I value the fact that everyone in an organization or a nation has the potential to contribute towards reshaping the performance of an organization in one way or another. In this regard, I will embrace the initiative of empowering the younger and the upcoming professionals as a modality of establishing a solid foundation for competitive performance in all sectors of the economy. Additionally, as observed by Snider (2020), the fact that most people tend to devalue the capacity of other specific groups such as women and the disable groups to take up leadership positions means that my objective as a leader is to denounce this perception with the strongest terms possible.

Ultimately, it is quite imperative to note that empowering people plays a fundamental role in regards to the understanding of a growth-mindset culture in today's economy. The achievement of a consistent and progressive economic growth does not dwell on age and experience alone, but the requisite professional competence of the human capital (Deininger et al., 2019). Hence, I highly condemn the idea of criticizing empowerment.
