Question 1

The unpalatable compromises that women make with the aim of maintaining romantic relationship with their partners constitute violence. Women are at times compelled to tolerate inconsiderable behaviors of their lovers to fulfill the societal expectations. For instance, the patriarchal system empowers men to the detriment of women. Therefore, men are depicted as the heads of the family with supreme authority over their wives. As such, women are expected to be submissive to their husbands.

Additionally, since men are in the top hierarchy, women are obliged to fulfill their husband’s desires. In cases where the husband needs sexual satisfaction while their wives are not in the mood for intimacy, the women are expected to compromise their comfort and fulfill the desires of their husbands. However, the inverse is not true. Men do not compromise their standpoints to satisfy the desires of their partners to maintain a good relationship. The higher moral expectations, as well as, compromises that wives are expected to make in the patriarchal system counts as violence against women.

Question 2

Contemporary migration is mainly characterized by the movement of people from Asia and Central America. Typically, people migrate from developing states to developed nations in search of greener pastures. Due to rapid globalization, the need for experts has increased in the international market. As such, technical laborers migrate from the developing nations to the developed states that have better remunerations and compensations. However, a significant portion of the immigrants constitute unskilled laborers who undertake the dirty and difficult manual tasks.

Question 3

Some uncivilized communities legitimize male violence as a form of exercising men superiority over the women. Unfortunately, this sexist ideology of men superiority is supported by some cultural and religious beliefs. For instance, some cultures support discriminatory gender roles. Men are assigned technical duties that attract higher returns while women undertake the basic domestic tasks. In some organization, male violence is portrayed through women discrimination and promotions at work.
