The idea of incorporating both domestic and international clients has created a need for businesses to diversify their workforce. In the past decades, the nature of various workplaces featured members of a similar culture, race, tribe, or religion. The phenomenon was mainly caused by the lack of enlightenment the merits of effective workplace managed. However, the current business organizations have adopted the ingenuity of diversifying workplaces to feature employees from different cultural, racial, tribal, or religious backgrounds. Creating a diverse group promotes ease of communication and interaction and it is a competitive advantage in the business world. The paper features the Coca Cola Company as an ideal example of an institution that has adopted the ideology of diversifying the workplace.

Examination of the Policies Used By Companies to Promote Diversity in the Workplace

One of the popular strategies used in promoting diversity in the workplace is through the creation of a multinational workforce. This strategy entails the recruitment, training, and incorporation of employees from various cultural, racial, and tribal backgrounds (Khan & Jabeen, 2019). The Caca Cola Company is one of the leading companies in the diversification of the workplace. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Coca Cola stands out as one of the companies with a diversified workforce in the world. The company has invested in the absorption of various employees from different nationalities in its workforce. The company has sought for employees from Europe, Asia, African, and the Americas.

Another policy used in diversifying the Coca Cola Company workplace is through the implementation of a diversified operational frame. The Coca Cola Company has resulted in the formulation of diversified philosophies of business organization. The mission and the vision frameworks used in the company have been revised to accommodate and address the needs of various customers around the globe (Cui et al., 2018). The company's operational philosophies have been revised to satisfy the various demands of customers through the use of strategies that identify with all the cultures, races, tribes, and religions in the world.

Assessment of the Positive Effects of the Diversification of the Coca Cola Company Workplace

Diversifying the Coca Cola Company has resulted in increased productivity. The increase in productivity rates of the company results from the assembling of various employees with varied training, business values, and experiences. The diversification of the company helps the company develop a well versed and experienced workforce that results in increased production rates (Asino & Giacumo, 2019). Employees from various backgrounds bring in varied techniques of executing tasks and therefore increasing the rate of production. Different cultures and regions use varied approaches in the articulation of duties. The merging of employees from diversified backgrounds provides the company with a reliable and well-versed workforce, which in return leads to improved productivity.

Another advantage of diversification in the Coca Cola Company is the achievement of customer satisfaction. Customer satisfaction in business is achieved by addressing the precise needs of various customers. Through diversification of the workforce, Coca Cola Company can now identify the various needs of customers depending on cultural, religious, racial, and ethical affiliation. The company uses a diversified workforce in researching and identifying the various needs of customers. For instance, the inclusion of Japanese employees in the Coca Cola Company enabled the multinational organization to realize the preference of Japanese people to low sugar foods (Asino & Giacumo, 2019). The information resulted in the invention of the "Coca Cola Sugar Zero" beverage that mainly targeted the Japanese market. This phenomenon depicts the role played by workforce diversification in achieving customer satisfaction.

The diversification of Coca Cola Company has resulted in increased customer loyalty. Workforce diversification in the company achieves customer loyalty through the representation of various nations in the workforce. Customers from countries, races, tribes, and religious groups represented in the workforce have developed credible loyalty to the company as they perceive diversification as a significant recognition of their input in the success of the company (Lomas et al,. 2019). Besides, the company can market products and expand business in countries and cultures represented in the workplace. For instance, the Coca Cola Company uses Arabic employees to market and extend business operations in Arabic countries.

The Relevance of Governmental Regulations on Workplace Diversity

The government provisions in workplace diversification are doing more harm to businesses than good. One of the regulations which the government has developed is the issuance of work permits for various foreign employees. The application of work permits limits many business organizations in accessing the services of various foreign employees (Lomas et al,. 2019). For instance, an Iranian applicant for a managerial job in the Coca Cola Company would have to secure a work permit document that would help him or herself to operate within the US jurisdiction. The challenge with work permits is that poor international relations between countries could jeopardize the fair issuance of work permits.

Moreover, various governments in the world exercise high taxation on foreign employees. Many countries around the globe perceive workplace diversification as a threat that is likely to cause unemployment to the domestic population (Lomas et al,. 2019). The exercise of high taxation on foreign employees is suffocating the practicality of diversifying the workplace in the contemporary world. The foreign employees working in the Coca Cola Company have to file high revenue returns to earn legitimization of the operation within the US.

The Coca Cola Company is one of the leading institutions in achieving workplace diversification. The company achieves diversification through the creation of a multinational workforce and diversified philosophies of business operations. Workplace diversification in the Coca Cola Company leads to increased productivity and achievement of customer satisfaction and loyalty. The use of work permits as a government regulation on workplace diversification is irrelevant as it prevents many companies from accessing the services of prospective reliable employees.
