The attack of September 11 brought with it some significant ramifications. The events that led to the bombing of the trade center in New York resulted from the United States invasion in the Middle East. The attacks led to the death of 266 people aboard the plane together with the people present in the buildings ("Rescue, Recovery and Rebuilding", 2019). The first attack was on the north tower at 8.48 AM while the other plane hit the south tower. The third attack happened at 9.40 Am on the Pentagon building. The emergency response service that included police, firefighters, and paramedics lost many of their colleagues due to the poisonous fumes from the explosions (Chuman, 2019). The mayor then said that there was going to be the loss of many lives as a result of the attack, but the emphasis placed on saving as many people as possible. After a few hours, the National Guard was called into action and was given orders to stay on high alert.

Washington state offices such as the Pentagon, the president’s house and capitol building were cleared of all staff apart from the white house’s situation room. The president through a press release in the oval urged the American people not to be freighted by the actions of the terrorists and assured them that the various agencies were in control of the situation (Chuman, 2019). The leaders faced various ethical issues in response to the attack since the majority of the hijackers were of Saudi origin. This led to racial profiling of innocent and Peaceful Muslim being subjected to raids by swat teams in their homes and multiple arrests.

The air space across the USA was closed off to prevent a similar attack from the air diverting international flights in Canada. The borders were also closed concerning the ones in Canada and Mexico.

Heavy machinery was employed on the ground clearing debris that was left after the building collapsed. The primary objective was to look for the remaining survivors, and in addition to the use of machines, the police and other security services used canine units ("Rescue, Recovery and Rebuilding", 2019). The purpose of the canine units proved essential as there were able to locate survivors buried deep in the ground ("Rescue, Recovery and Rebuilding", 2019). Further, a memorial was constructed in the remembrance of the lives lost during the attacks.

The 911 attacks had a significant influent on the society as it led to increased suspicion of the Muslim population in the nation. Secondly, the attacks had a major impact on the military as well because soon after attacks by the United States military were driven towards Afghanistan ("The Impact of 9/11 on the ethics of military action", 2019). The Islamic nation was accused of among other things harboring the terrorists responsible for the gruesome attacks on the international trading center.

There is no doubt that the attack on the eleventh of September on the trade center on the center of trade led to the change of how the entire population felt towards a particular group of people. The Islam community specifically has been the subject of accusation whenever an explosion goes off in the country. The slogans by countries such as Iran "Death to America" have done little to alleviate the situation. The attack led to the invasion of Afghanistan in search of Osama, which led to the loss of American lives in the war against terror. The respect of fellow citizens ought to be encouraged to prevent instances of xenophobia as witnessed in South Africa.
