This paper is a review of Tiffani Bradley and her family as she recovers from a broken home, physical and sexual assault, and forced underage prostitution. The first stage of her crisis is incubation which happens after the crisis is triggered by a traumatic event and the crisis begins accumulating (Carli, 2016). This happens when Tiffani is still at home and she learns to normalize her family situation, the violence between her parents and the constant drug abuse ( Plummer, Markis, & Brocksen, 2014) . The second step is signals when the crisis begins to manifest by making a person feel uncomfortable in their situation and one can react by either ignoring the signs or responding to change them (Carli, 2016). Tiffani goes through this stage when she begins to feel uncomfortable about the molestation she faced from Nate and Jimmy and fearing her sister may go through the same ( Plummer, Markis, & Brocksen, 2014).
The third stage is the emergency where one reaches a breaking point and they can no longer stand the abusive behavior (Carli, 2016). Tiffani experiences this when she is 14 and decides to run away as to avoid being raped ( Plummer, Markis, & Brocksen, 2014) . If poorly handled, this stage can worsen the crisis as it did for Tiffani when she was forced into underage prostitution after leaving an abusive home. Next, one reaches a breaking point where the crisis interrupts a person’s life and they are forced to face reality on the matter (Carli, 2016). For Tiffani, this stage is reached after she is taken in by Teens First and made to realize that she was in crisis both at home and with Donald. The final step is reintegration where one tries to rebuild their life and learn from the experience. Tiffani does this by accepting her past, reaching out to her family, attaining her GED, and getting a job ( Plummer, Markis, & Brocksen, 2014) .

Tiffani had access to various resources and assets which helped her build her resilience. They include her positive outlook which made her see the violent relationship she had with Donald as a good thing. Her need to protect her sister also helped her endure her most difficult moments. She had access to health care so she could get treatment for the STIs and infection she contracted from being a prostitute. She also had the social support of Teens First which offered counseling services and a home to aid her recovery ( Plummer, Markis, & Brocksen, 2014; Bennett, 2015) .
As a social worker, I would use individual and group counseling to help Tiffany gain resilience by giving her support and showing her that her past does not need to define her. I would also help her attain her goals so she can get a fresh start. The crisis and resilience theories are used in crisis management because the former identifies the problem and how it has advanced while the latter gives a client the individual and social support they need to recover (MacDonald, 2016; Bennett, 2015).
