I am Karl Marx, you seem to be alienated, and I share your pain, about your generation’s lack of power. Power is my area of interest, so I will explain to you how your community gains and share power and how they can use it to become even better. There is different kind of power which people struggle to gain in the society, and they have different consequences within the populace. There is political power, economic power and many others. These are shared and achieved differently in the society to make it even better or worse it off. First, power is gained through exploitation of the minority groups. In a community, there are two different types of people. There are the Bourgeois and the proletariat; these individuals have a kind of an exploitive relationship. This is one way in which the economic power in and community is gained. The Bourgeois or the employers take advantages of the economically crumbled individuals and the minorities to make a lot of money for them. The workers are made to produce more goods than what they are paid as wages. The employers then get massive profit from the employee's sweat in a capitalistic society. The minority is left with nothing to depend on, and they have no options but to rely on the capitalists heavily. The capitalist on the other hands gains a lot of economic stability and power to control other institutions in the country and manipulates them to favor in any circumstance. In this case, the children of the wealthy are the ones who get a better education and many others.

Alternatively, power is also gained through competition in a society such as yours. The capitalists always are in demand of power at all costs. For this reason, they gain superiority in the society by bringing unhealthy competition in the economic sector in the society to eliminate the poor in the market. For instance, they can use sale goods at cheap cost. They can decide to offer goods at the same price but with quantity and quality higher than others in the market. This would help them gain a monopoly in the market and continue making the lives of others even worse off in the society. To maintain high profit in this situation, they would employ more minority workers and pay them less to have the quantity and quality of their products in the market maintained ( Macionis, 2012). In this manner, they will gain a lot of power economically. They will also have what it takes to occupy the political seats and have the much needed political power. This, therefore, creates a society where there is a lot of oppression, discrimination and injustices.

To make the society better, power can be shared through communist. The community should struggle to overthrow the Bourgeois and embrace the communist way of power sharing to make the society better. The society should be organized along the communist lines where no property belongs to any private individual. People in the society should collectively own the means of productions, and every person should have equal wealth. In this community, there would be equity; in this case, each would accumulate wealth based on the amount of effort he/she put to have it. Equitable distribution of power in the society will bring about justice and freedom in the society. With equal power distribution in place, there will be no any discriminations or oppression, and hence your community will be a better place to be.
