Research that embraces randomized control trial not only in pharmacotherapetic agents but also other disciplines have contributed mostly to positive outcome in solving objectively many societal concerns (Coronado-Montoya et al., 2016). However, this paper presents a summary of one randomized controlled trial of Cure-allergic-rhinitis Syrup (CS) and Yu-ping-feng San (YS) that are Chinese herbal formulas noting the important components of the study.
The purpose of the study was to evaluate the effects that two Chineseherbal formulas (Cure-allergic-rhinitis Syrup (CS) and Yu-ping-feng San (YS)) have in treatingpatientswith allergic rhinitis over a 3-month follow-up in comparisons to an alternative treatment of placebo group that was under control in treating the same allergic rhinitis.

The pharmacotherapeutic agent used was a Chinese herbal of Cure-allergic-rhinitis Syrup (CS) and Yu-ping-feng San (YS) used for treatment of allergic rhinitis adopted from thousands of years back.
The Sample and sampling strategy used was the Probability sampling. Probability sampling gives each participant an equal chance (Nahorniak, Larsen, Volk & Jordan, 2015). Each student was given an equal chance to participate in the study and the various (three) groups use for the study. Out of the chosen participants for the study totaling to 249 members, each had an equal chance to either be in one of the three group that include the CS, YS or the Placebo group (Chan & Chien, 2014). The sample was also homogeneous that included participants selected from one university in Hong Kong. The sample also considered the demographic factors and both male and female student participants were included in the sample from the various age groups. It hence reduced and eliminative the possible bias likely to result from the study and hence allows the result and outcome of the research to be credible and recognized as quality work.
Methodology and the findings of the study also noted. The methodology used combined a variety of strategies such as observation where researchers recorded repeated measures of the participants over a given period that the study was used to measure down the various variables in both study groups including the controlled group of Placebo to capture data that was quantifiable. A questionnaire was also used to capture data that could not be quantified search as quality of life and symptom severity among others helpful for the study. Combining various methods of research leads to quality data and results of studies (Lund, 2012). The findings indicated that the CS was found to be effective in enhancing quality of life in young adults as well as reduce symptoms of allergic rhinitis in body constitution.
In conclusion, the paper has described the purpose of the study of the Chinese herbal formulas, the pharmacotherapeutic agent of Cure-allergic-rhinitis Syrup (CS) and Yu-ping-feng San (YS) used. It has also noted the sample and sampling strategy used for the piece that was mostly probability sampling. It also notes the methodology used for the study and concludes by stating the findings according to the researchers about the Chinese herbal formulas.
