Located in the city of Baltimore, the state of Maryland, the United States of America, Johns Hopkins Hospital is a biomedical research facility and teaching hospital of the Johns Hopkins school of medicine. The hospital has more than a thousand beds in capacity and boasts of having employed above 30000 members of staff (Johns Hopkins Medicine, 2019). Johns Hopkins Hospital is credited with the birth and development of modern American medicine with the most popular medical practitioners in and out of the US having passed through the Johns Hopkins school of medicine. 

Research and development in the pharmaceutical sector of the US have ensured that Johns Hopkins hospital remains at the helm of modern medical practices and a promise for a better medical future (Johns Hopkins Medicine, 2019). The rationale behind the selection of the Johns Hopkins hospital for the study lies in the fact that the institution is well-known both in and out of the United States of America and is comprised of staff and clients from the various racial groups represented in the country. The history of the hospital is also detailed beginning from Johns Hopkins who died in the year 1873 and left estates worth $ 7 million which his will stated that they should house two institutions named after him; the Johns Hopkins University and the Johns Hopkins hospital (Johns Hopkins Medicine, 2019). Facility Physical Setting 

Johns Hopkins hospital is physically located in Baltimore and has a vast estate and a myriad of facilities to enhance research and patient care. The hospital's real estate provides a range of full plant operations that support the various services that the institution offers to its patients and the medical students of the Johns Hopkins school of medicine. The hospital's Johns Hopkins Facilities & Real Estate (JHFRE) offers the institution's design, planning, and the construction of the schools and the divisions of the Johns Hopkins Enterprise which is inclusive of the Montgomery County in Maryland and Washington in the district of Columbia. The JHFRE also provides the leasing operations and the management of property for both the university and the hospital. JHFRE also offers other services such as event support, management of space, sustainability, and parking and transportation to the fraternity of the institution. 

One of the most recent development projects at Johns Hopkins Hospital is the ongoing construction of the school of nursing's Pinkard building and its renovation. The facility is aimed at providing nursing students with enough space for research and development, which is aimed at increasing the quality of services offered by the hospital.
