According to Thompson's argument on "A Defense of Abortion," fetus just like any other person deserves the right to live. Although her ideas are against abortion, at some point she does not defend it adequately. Abortion means violating the rights of the fetus. Thompson's main message in her essay is that by one having the right to life implies anyone cannot kill you. On the other hand, Thompson adds that every mother has the right to her body. The fetus right to life is not higher than the power of the mother to decide on what to do with her body. In other words, the right to life is never an absolute right.

Mary Anne Warren's arguments describe abortion as being morally right. According to her perception, irrespective of the circumstances, abortion is permissible at any stage during pregnancy. Anne claims that whatever defines human beings is the genetic sense and moral sense of an individual. The two requires an extensive understanding because their misunderstandings result in their slide meaning.
According to my understanding of both arguments, I strongly agree with Thompson's arguments. Her arguments are more logical and rational when compared to Mary Anne warrens' ideas on abortion. No woman is obligated to kill her fetus whether she is responsible for its existence or not responsible at all. Again, in case the life of the mother is in jeopardy, it is always impermissible to rescue the life of such a mother. Thompson's analogy of violinists entails some sorts of flaws. Majority of individuals who fight against abortion are guided by the belief that abortion is a form of direct killing. However, abortion does not imply direct murder of the violinist, but it is a way of allowing them to die by guarding their rights.
