Explorer 1

In this milestone achievement, NASA launched its first satellite on 31st Jan 1958 which was successful. It was a major milestone which challenged Russia's previous launches, and its core role was to detect cosmic rays.

On July 1997, a successful landing was made on Mars. It was part of the Mars Pathfinder mission.

International Space Station

Serving as a laboratory for 15 nations, the International Space Station was launched October 24, 1998.
