What is your perspective of effective leadership?

It is the ability to bring a team to cohesion and achieve the objectives of the company. I believe that I am most effective in a group since they have the outstanding qualities they add to the tally. This way, it can help nurture interpersonal skills by aiding those who do not have one and learning from the successful members in the group.

What are the essential traits that you portray as a leader?

The most important value that I possess is integrity, the ability to do what I say and strictly adhere to my principles (Curtis, 2018). I strongly believe in demonstrating honesty, truth, and honor in my actions. Trusting the work I do has helped me achieve credibility. I instill a sense of direction in the people I lead by the conviction of being honest.

What are the key leadership characteristics in your view?

Commitment

I manage to trigger commitment from my team by persuading and influencing them to set their goals and targets and track them to fulfillment. Once they tend to have corporate objectives achieved, they have the cohesion and cooperation to attain any set plans. Maintaining work ethics and being transparent in all sectors. Open talks and developing constructive feedback instead of critics have helped a lot.

Task completion

What is the difference between a Team leader and a Team Manager?

A team leader inspires and motivates the task force to achieve their goals. On the other hand, a team manager sets responsibilities and tasks, then watches or supervises the task force to get the job done.

Conviction

How do you get your task force to accept your ideas?

I table the idea and detail-fully explain the merits of the concept and its application. In this manner, I stay open-minded to their thoughts and modify the concepts to an amicable agreement. Having the task force contribute is more successful compared to making it compulsory to follow the approach.

Communication skills

Do you prefer verbal or written communication?

I can do both comfortably, but I prefer verbal over written means. Speaking to someone directly enables you to see the reaction toward the topic. Verbal communication allows one to address issues faster, and one can get immediate feedback.

How do you propagate change?

A leader has to be the first one to clasp change and ensure the team learns from you. I guarantee to pass the message of change in dynamics with the persuasion that it is the correct path to follow. I ensure every questionable aspect is handled diligently by backing up my reasons. Finally, I listen to their anxiety about the change and help them transit.

What leader would your task force say you are?

They would describe me as an obstacle clearer and one to count on.

What is the most challenging part of leadership?

In the end, you are all alone to carry the vision and lead others towards it. You have to keep them on track.

Evaluation

After assessing the leadership traits and the style, the leader is identified as a transformational leader. Being a vision-led individual, he inspires his task force in achieving goals by his wits and motivations. He is a reflective leader who understands who he is and can align the group's goals with his personal goals. This character helps the leader develop and grow over time (Stazyk & Davis, 2020). Transformational leaders exhibit integrity, vision and are authentic. The leader has humility and is constantly looking to learn from others. The leader knows how to develop, configure, and mobilize team strategies.

Recommendations

As a leader, one should be aware of the factors hindering the effective leadership. These are the areas of improvement so they start working to better their quality.

The leader should provide intellectual stimulation to his workforce by allowing them to express their creativity more often. This can be done by offering challenging tasks to several workers to improve their morale in terms of creativity.

The leader should be more passionate about his career and one who demonstrates ambition. Every worker looks up to a role model who is genuinely enthusiastic for their work. They need to find the ways to express their enthusiasm, and should make it known that they value progress.

The leader should demonstrate higher level positivity and attitude to inspire their staff. The work force borrows work incentive from the leader to do work, thus, they should not at any point be discouraged. The leader should not only be optimistic but also be practical.

Encouraging contributions from the staff when tackling critical issues and welcoming the sharing of ideas is vital. Such encouragement gives them the opportunity to contribute to achieving the objectives of the organization.
