In the Anatomy of Care Simulation, I attempted to decide about what has been learned in this course, and all the six scenarios were correct. The simulation was a form of good experience as well as seeing different possible outcomes depending on the actions that are taken. The simulation made me aware that the patients are of the priority, and as a charge nurse, sometime things might be hectic more so during the pandemic like COVID-19, but the patients must always remain to be the priority. Many things are required from a charge nurse ranging from staff issues, patient concerns, and numerous meetings to attend. To be a good nurse leader means that the person must be in handle all these situations. While I was doing the simulations, I ensured that I picked choices that embodied the delegation of duties. They were made with references to the patients' priority and communication ( Huston, 2019). It is important to note that communication is essential when it comes to delegation of duties as it allows for excellent care for the patient. It is essential as a charge nurse to ask for help when it is deemed necessary. In the simulation, Janice delegates the duties to Mark to ensure that the patient gets the place since their place has no capacity in their facility for the patients to occupy. I also ensured that I used an effective behavioral approach to assist Janice as she decided on the delegation of duties.

The boundaries of the nursing roles are becoming blurred as the nurses taking duties that are delegated to them. The delegations are essential for the success of the workforce. I realized that the delegations are essential when it comes to creating a manageable workforce as it allows the qualified nurses to be in a position of fulfilling the responsibilities professionally as well as the experiences. It also allows the provision of observation and care that are needed to the patients ( Entwistle, 2017). Therefore, the delegation allows safe and quality care to patients as Janice delegate the work to make it manageable within their facilities.

Secondly, there is shifting of tasks in teams through the delegation of duties, which results in the creation of a good working relationship, since it gives insight into the roles and responsibilities. Additionally, when trusted, it is possible to motivate the team to work in unity. This assists in accomplishing the work of the team and also creates safe and quality patient care. Additionally, a delegation of duties increases staff confidence as they can be delegated higher responsibilities and, hence, increase their status. This is shown as Janice delegates the duty of taking care of the patient to Mark ( Huston, 2019). Therefore, delegations develop skills that are set of practitioners; it also offers new opportunities to the staff and even career progression. Therefore, it makes it cost-effective to learn new roles and responsibilities.

The most significant confusion and concern for the nurses who consider delegation is the issue of accountability. The duty of patient care is enshrined in law for practitioners in the states of Florida. Before delegation of duties, it should be foreseeable that those who the roles have been delegated may not cause any form of harm to the patients through their failure to act or actions. When Janice delegates, she ensures that the person is competent and can take care of the patient in his condition.
