The article aimed to discuss the Mara Salvatrucha gang otherwise known as the MS-13 gang. The author analyzed the inception of the gang and its exponential development in the United States. The method that the article used involved analyzing the incidences and operations of the gangs. Various sources were used to analyze the approach used by the gang to realize its objectives. The final author then provided recommendations that can be used to dismantle the gang. The recommendation section thus outlined previous efforts enacted and the effectiveness of new legislation.

The aim of the article was to analyze the Latin Kings street gang which is considered as one of the most dangerous in the United States with 25,000 members. The method used by the author involved an analysis of various sources that showed how the gang develops and operates to achieve its initiatives. The analysis section of the article conceptualized the gang as a political force that had various traits of entrepreneurship. It was revealed that the gang portrayed a capitalist system with Marxist values. The conclusion for the article was thus that the law enforcement can combat the criminal operations of the gang by improving the economic conditions of the community and thus lure members away from the gang.

The purpose of the article was to analyze how factors associated with the Civil War led to the formation of the most dangerous gangs that include the MS-13 and the 18th Street. The method used by the article involved analyzing the historical social and political condition of the United States. Through the analysis of history, the article showed that the gang was born out of the violence in the Civil War. The findings from the article revealed recommendations that should be used to address the gang and the violence. The author observes that there is a need to address their violence through a social approach instead of having an iron fist approach.
