Marshall and Broome (2017) argued that c ore values refer to personal essential beliefs. Based on the results from StrengthsFinder, two core values that I need to strengthen include servant leadership and to maintain the right balance between life balance and good work. Servant leadership entails aiming to serve, and it is about putting others interests and needs above one’s own. Over the years, I have often struggled with my interest and needs first as compared to the needs of others. I believe that if improve on putting the needs and interests of others ahead of my own, I will offer a well-rounded and satisfying leadership. On the other hand, I need to pay close attention to how to balance my work with my endeavors. Such will allow me to stay more focused, productive, and say longer on my jobs. Improving these will help me foster a healthy environment in addition to giving my best.
Some of my strengths, as discovered from the StrenghtsFinder include discipline, patience, dedication, and creativity. According to Duggan et al., (2015), dedication, discipline and patience entail the central aspects of transformational leadership. However, to position myself effectively for leadership, I need to improve on my level of patience and enthusiasm. In doing so, I will position myself strategically for growth and servant leadership. Improving on the above will require discipline, versatility, and determination. I believe I have the name attribute, and working towards a robust direction will help me foster the best and most effective leadership style.

According to Atmojo (2015) p ersonal characteristics entail those qualities that an individual possesses. They majorly include friendliness, leadership, enthusiasm, intelligence, flexibility, among others. From the StrengthsFinder, I possess the majority of the positive and robust characteristics necessary for leadership. However, I need to improve on two core characters that I believe will position me strategically in my pursuit of effective leadership. They include problem solving and assertiveness. From the StrengthsFinder, I am slow in decision making and weak towards asserting my position. By improving on the two qualities, I believe that I will stand a better chance of applying the best leadership skills.
