This granted me admission into the Architecture and Urban Studies Course. My desire is to pursue this course to the best of my ability. This interest will further open up and develop into a career in urban planning and commercial architecture. However, I need some financial assistance to achieve my dream. Furthermore, due to family and personal reasons, a scholarship will help continue my studies and achieve my dream. I come from an economically unstable background. My parents have low income jobs that can barely cover the basic needs of my siblings and I. I began working at the age of fifteen to help supplement their meagre income. I am the first born in a family of four siblings and I'm still helping my parents to make ends meet. I currently work for three jobs, a waiting job at a restaurant, a cleaning job at a local grocery chain store and an errand job at an architectural firm. The scholarship I hope to receive will relieve me at least one of this jobs. This will enable me have ample time to pursue my course without the worry of financial constraints. Additionally, this scholarship will open the door to a better career. It was enable me to be in a better position to help my family.

This will be done by transforming my home town into an architectural wonder that reflects the skills acquired. Such efforts will catch the eye of the world because it will transform the face of the city. I have already identified potential investors whose main interest is in real estate. They are interested in developing home grown talent and harnessing it to transform the face of the region. The publicity that these projects promise will popularise the institution and attract more students. I personally aim to make it my goal to ensure that the institution is made proud by my achievements.
Lastly, this scholarship will enable me propel my people into a better future. I will be a symbol of hope for my younger sibling. They will truly believe that indeed anybody can achieve their dreams.
