A bittersweet but special day in my life was the last night I was assisting my brother to pack his belonging to leave for his deployment as a United States Marine. It was sad knowing that I would not see my only brother for the next four years while on deployment. However, it was also a special moment since he was able to achieve his lifelong dream, given that he has always wished to join the military from the time he was 5 years old. In most cases, people believe that their personal success is the main factor that determines the special moments in their lives. However, for my case, the idea that my brother had achieved and was pursuing his dream was something I considered special, even though it was not my personal achievement. The provision highlights the fact that simple and pleasant events are the key ingredients in creating memorable experiences.

One of the main points that make this day a special memory is based on the provision that it was exciting to witness my brother finally achieve his dream of protecting his nation. Even though the phase was stressful as I was facing the realities of deployment and its meaning in terms of being miles away from my brother, the last night while assisting my brother to pack his belonging is memorable. The fundamental objective of the memorable day was the idea that my brother was also interested in providing essential services to the country. Therefore, spending the last moments with him as he was preparing for his journey to provide the essential services that he has always desired was special.

The memory does not only rest on the night that I was assisting him to pack his things but also the last meal we took together at the airport. Even though I was devastated that I would not see him for a couple of years, being with him side by side, as we were going through all the checks in the airport was also special. Knowing that we would be separated for years as he was going to pursue his dream called for the need to spend the few hours together before he had to leave. Making the most of the last moments with a person is something that everyone desires since having such an opportunity is rare. On the other hand, I believed that it would be suitable for me to provide him with the support he needed as he was on his journey to achieve his dream. The support was essential for providing him with the assurance he needed in his journey.

In conclusion, it is vital to indicate that memorable experiences are created from simple and pleasant events. In this light, assisting my brother to pack his belonging, as he was to leave for his deployment the next day was a simple but pleasant experience that created the memory in consideration. Conversely, spending time with my brother at the airport, including having breakfast for the last time before he left, constitutes the other pleasant events that created the memorable experience. The experiences I had that day can be used as pointers to indicate that memorable experiences to not have to be as complicated as people would make them. Instead, the greatest memories are those that engage, excite, and empower individuals.
