Biblical Principles for Leadership in the Workplace

Blackaby and Blackaby describe the role of leaders, mostly I Workplaces. However, this explanation fits any contest and is also agreeable in spiritual leadership. The authors warn against the three Ps of leadership, which includes position, power and personality ( Blackaby & Blackaby, 2004 ). There are various ways of ensuring that goals are achieved within goals. However, a legitimate leader must ensure that goals are achieved collectively by providing that followers own the process without forcing decisions. 

There are various approaches used by leaders to ensure that their followers move forward. One of my methods as a teacher is motivating class members to inspire them to have enthusiasm. This approach is achieved through appreciating achievements after every task assigned. Additionally, I involve the group in decision making by using their ideas to make decisions on matters like policies of the group to ensure they own them up.

Significantly, my strengths include being open-minded and determine. Additionally, I am charismatic, which endears me to my followers. However, I am a micromanager in some instances, and I lack patience, especially in tasks that consume a lot of time. One of the areas that are difficult to strengthen providing useful feedback. This fact is due to the difference in how individuals react to feedback. While some may be motivated by negative feedback, others may be discouraged. 

Essentially, a leader needs knowledge and experience in the appropriate field to inspire others to follow them legitimately. For instance, as an educator, one must show a wealth of experience in teaching to earn trust and credibility. Knowing the area one is leading inspires confidence in them by the followers ( Blackaby & Blackaby, 2004 ). One must avoid distractions from people within the group to ensure the group achieves its goals, as seen in Proverbs 7-8 ( Wendland, 2020 ). Wisdom is a crucial element in educational leadership, as it involves leading people with different motives.
